Up close and personal

Fencing today was mostly about close measure techniques, so we've lots of fun with pommelling, quillion strikes, disarms and some nasty little wrist mangling tricks. I was demo bunny for the day, so I was up close and personal with a sweaty prof for some real mano-a-mano action. The best thing was a nick on the shoulder from the profs semi sharp, so I have a real life genuine duelling scar at last!

Right, now we're off out to see John Otway ...

It works both ways Kat. It helps me to slow down and realize what I am doing wrong as well. It was one of the best workshops for ages, although I'm feeling the after effects now ... :-)
