Well, that's 600 pages of my life I won't get back any time soon ...

400 pages of grumpy teenagers camping, a battle scene that will look good in the movie but makes no sense on the page, a body count that looks like JKR picked the names of supporting characters out of a hat in order to kill them off, an info dump to reveal the big twist that we all guessed three books ago and an ending that manages to rip off The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (going into the woods as a noble sacrifice) and Dirty Harry (I'm surprised that Harry didn't ask Voldemort if he was feeling lucky, punk).

It could have been better. Heck, it should have been better, but at least it's over and done with now.

I agree with the boringness of the Quest, but actually thought things picked up immeasurably from the time when Harry, Hermione and Ron meet up with Aberforth or whatever his name was and are put in touch with the resistance. The whole thing about Snape was no surprise (the only thing left out is why he feels so protective towards Malfoy in earlier books, but I suppose that can be explained away as being just a House Slytherin thing for the first few books and him helping Dumbledore out by letting himself be put in a situation of helping him out by killing him, Malfoy being involved is just accidental), the whole thing with him defeating Voldemort wasn't too bad though, considering how bad the epilogue was, I'd have preferred Harry to perish doing it.
