Interesting kids' programme for sure... not sure I find Torchwood disappointing, though the last couple of episodes have been a bit mawkish.

I've loved Torchwood... even the episodes other have found disappointing and/or over sentimental...But there again I can quite easily curl up in the escapism.... I find reality over rated!

re tonight's Sarah Jane... well it's looking to be a great Kids programme, which is of course what Dr Who started out as.... and I can how pree teens and early teen will love it. Though I found it a tad too fluffy...
though I love the look of the not to special 'special effects'.... very nostalgic, and her sonic lipstick. BTW Wasn't the alien she had met at the beginning one of, or very similar to, the 'faries' from a previous Torchwood episode...

Re the one eyed octopus alien - am I the only one who for a moment relished the thought of rather large, but fresh calamari??? yummmmmmmmmmm

Re the Miss Wormwood character, she was rather Calvin and Hobbs (including Lewis's Screwtapes)- strict and sour.. and drinks too much... and she didn't die... so the door's open for her to come back at soem later date, or so I heard the actress playing her mention in an interview the other day ..lol

I think it will be a hit... and that may mean that Dr Who get more meaty too....

I agree, both about Sarah Jane, which I enjoyed, and Torchwood, which has me shouting rude things at the tv. Last night really was bad. They were showing us how grown up and liberated they are sexually, which has nothing to do with the stories. The Welsh policewoman is rubbish and all the screaming, pouting and kissing..they should get on with their jobs! Reminds me of why I stopped watching The Bill.
