I’ve been fighting a losing battle with my to-do list all week. It hasn’t helped that we’ve introduced yet another bloody invoicing system (henceforth known by the acronym of YABIS) in which the new contracts clerk managed to post, interface and send out to customers the same batch of invoices four times, requiring some deft unpicking from me tonight.

Still, the day was brightened considerably by the arrival of a parcel from Barrington’s swords. I finally have a sparring blade for the main gauche that Jan bought for me back in February as a valentine’s present. Nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like lethal weaponry …

 

I’ll get a chance to play with it a week on Saturday for my Adept’s assessment – eeep!
